This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art.

The starting piece for this lamp was a very rare Bialaddin paraffin Bowl Fire Heater. The brass on the tank has been lovingly polished over the years, . To prevent the need for further polishing we sealed in with 3 coats of clear lacquer. There are some very minor dents in the fuel tank but these just add to the character.

The rear bowl is made from chromed brass which has over the years worn to reaveal a fantastic patina with the brass coming through the chrome. We gave it a light radial polish then clear coated it to maintain the finish. There are some very minor dents to the rear dome, but nothing major.

The handle at the rear was in poor condition when we acquired it so we sand blasted it back to bare metal and then had it professionally powder coated in the original ivory white.

The centre of the heater has been adapted by us to accept an antique style light fitting . This was professionally wired with period correct braided 3 core vintage cable. The cable is a generous 1.5 metres long and is fitted with a 3 pin fused plug and inline switch. The lamp is fully earthed for electrical safety.

To put the finishing touches to the light we have used a smoked E27 screw fitting large Edison filament globe bulb (included). This gives a beautiful soft white light and the filament is clearly visible when its turned on.

When lit the light looks amazing, casting great shadows on the rear dish. The photos really don't do it any justice at all. It also poduced a smal amount o heat. Perfect for warming the corner of a room.

The light is very versatile and can either be used on a side table or it can be hung from its carrying handle.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!

Please be advised this is a vintage item, it bears a number of minor bumps and marks that it has gained over the last 70 years. Have a good look at the pictures as these really show the condition.
