This is a fantastic British made automotive inspection lamp. It's a Nettle brand lamp that was produced in the late 1940's to the mid 1950's
 
The first job was to remove all of the old paint from the wood. When we did this it revealed the nice grain of the wood.  We gave the handle 3 coats of Fides antique oak way and a gentle polish. It looks great !!. 
 
All of the metalwork was sand blasted and then polished and clear coated.
 
The light was then professionally rewired with period correct braided cable and fitted with an inline switch. The lamp has a generous 1.5 mtr power cable and an inline switch. The cage of the lamp is correctly earthed and it has been PAT tested.
 
The light comes with a Vintage Edison bulb.  This style of lamp is excellent when used to feature light a corner of a room or a piece of art etc. Vintage inspection lamps are always popular as they can be used virtually anywhere in the home or Garage. 
 
When lit the light looks stunning as it casts the most amazing shadows. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.
 
This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of 20th century art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
