This is rare 1930's Art Deco Stripmaster 35mm slide projector that we have converted into a unique table lamp. These were made in England in the 30's through to the 50's and they have a fantastic Art Deco shape.

About the restoration.

When we received the projector it was in pretty poor condition having been hand painted in gold with Hammerite paint. Rather than use paint stripper we had it sandblasted to give a uniform finish. We then polished it to give it a brushed steel finish. We then had it professionally powder coated in a clear finish.

For the electrification we fabricated a new bulb holder so we could use a tube bulb.

The light has been professionally rewired with period correct braided cable and it's fitted with an inline switch. The lamp has a generous 1.5 mtr power cable. The lamp has been PAT tested and is fully earthed for electrical safety.

The light comes with a Vintage Edison LED tube bulb.

When lit the light looks stunning as it casts the most amazing shadows. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of early 20th century art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!

Whats especially cool about this lamp is that it comes with its original box !!!!

We make products that are as unique as you, so if you don't see a light that you like then let us make something just for you. We are happy to work on commissions both large and small.
