This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art.

This is a converted medical heat lamp originally made in the 1950s by English manufactures Sol-Tan.
 
The body and base of the lamp were covered in years and years of grime and dust. It took a good few hours to remove it all, but the end result was well worth it. We have been able to retain all of the original paint and it’s in fantastic condition.

We gave the shade a radial polish and clear coat. This gives a hard resilient finish that will last for another 70 years ! There are some minor marks on the dome but this is 70 years old after all and these do nothing to detract from the beauty of this lamp.

Electrically, this lamp has had all new components, including a custom fitted bulb holder that allows the lamp to use a wide variety of E27 bulbs. The lamp has a generous 1.5mtr power cable and an inline switch. All of our lamps are professionally wired and are fully earthed and PAT tested.

The light comes with an oversized LED diamond bulb. This gives a beautiful soft white light.

This is a very versatile lamp that is able to angle in many different positions.

When lit the light looks stunning and the rings of the reflector look amazing. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
