This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning unique piece of unique art.

The inspiration for this fantastic lamp was a 1950's Waymaster Postal Scales This was made in the UK and could be found in post offices around the country

Firstly we gave the scales  a good clean and polish. The dial ame up really well considering its 70 years old !!

To mount the bulb we fabricated a bespoke mount to attach to the top of the scales..

This lamp has an antique style black light fitting. This was professionally wired with period correct braided 3 core vintage cable. The cable is a generous 1.5 metres long. There is a inline switch and plug fitted. All of our lamps are correctly earthed and PAT tested for electrical safety..

This lamp is finished with a stunning 40w squirrel cage Edison filament incandescent globe light bulbs. This gives a beautiful soft white light with the filament clearly visible when in use. It nicely illuminates the scales when its turned on..

When lit the light looks stunning. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.
